Anna Cady

DIRECTOR, FILM MAKER AND CURATOR

Anna Cady is an artist who uses film, animation, photography and text in her work. Her short film 30% (Women and Politics in Sierra Leone) screened in competition at the Sundance Film Festival 2013 and is now screening at Festivals worldwide.

Other artist films she has made include Farms of Innocence, a stop motion film which screened at Tate Modern in the UK and internationally. Out of Space from a project called It Works Both Ways was made co-creatively with Louisa Makolski who could not speak or move her body voluntarily has also screened internationally and has been the subject of academic debate.

Anna has worked and exhibited in India. Currently 16 films are installed at Mottisfont Abbey, (National Trust) after a residency –  A Place for Art.
